Standardizing Technical, vocational Education remains Gov.’s priority-Minister Wilson

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Youth and Sports Minister, Zeogar Wilson, says standardizing the Technical and Vocational Education (TVET) Sector in Liberia remains a priority for Government.

Speaking in an ELBC interview Thursday, March 11, 2021, Minister Wilson said:” Government is working to craft a policy through a legislation to standardize the TVET sector.”

The Youth and Sports Minister said with support from partners, including the European Union, Government has embarked on the development TVET infrastructures across the Country.

Also speaking, EU Head of Political and Economic Governance, Jyrki (Jor-ki) Torni, admitted that the lack of harmonization in TVET programs affects effective support to the sector.

Mr. Torni recommitted the support of the EU to the development of TVET programs and infrastructures in the Country.
