Western Cluster Liberian Limited recommits to Liberia’s Socio-Economic Development

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Western Cluster Liberian Limited, a mining company operating in Bomi, Grand Cape Mount and Gbarpolu Counties, has reiterated its commitment to contribute to Liberia’s socio-economic development.

The Company, in a release issued recently, said it remains committed to adhering to Liberian laws, including the Mineral Development Agreement and principles of the iron ore industry.

According to the Company, it will continue to undertake impact-oriented initiatives, including the provision of employment opportunities for locals in its operation areas.

The Company added that since entering its mining agreement with the Liberian Government in 2011, it has invested approximately three-hundred-million US Dollars.

Despite ongoing tension between the Company and some members of the Legislature, the Company said it is fully prepared to institute corrective measures to ensure mutual benefits for all.
