“Disallow Voters Trucking”-Gen. Town Chief, Kpatolee Clan

by Maximilian K. Kasseh jr

BONG COUNTY, LIBERIA-A local Government Official in Bong County is urging citizens to disallow voter trucking by politicians in some parts of the Country.

The new election law described voter trucking in an election period as criminal and undemocratic.

ELBC Lower Bong County Correspondent quotes the General Town Chief of Kpatolee Clan, Tenneh Sackie, in Totota as warning politicians engaged in such undemocratic behavior to stop.

Madam Sackie said:” Such act could deny citizens and the Country needed development by choosing and imposing disfavored individuals in national leadership.”

Her call is in response to reports that several residents and citizens were seen in buses in Totota, heading to other communities were registration centers are located.

Bong County is among the second batch of counties to begin the VBR on April 21, 2023.
