Petitioner Withdraws Lawsuit against Forner Vice Pres. Boakai

by Fabine W. Kwiah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A petitioner who earlier filed a lawsuit against the former Vice President in a land case has withdrawn his lawsuit from the Civil Law Court.

Mr. Arnold Kandakai, through his lawyer, Cllr. Korvah Jallah, filed a Notice of Withdrawal to the Court to cancel the litigation against the former Vice President and Standard Bearer of the Unity Party, Joseph Boakai.

Cllr. Jallah’s one-page notice, which is in the possession of ELBC, noted his client, Kandakai, was no longer interested in the case against Ambassador Boakai and requested that his client’s action be spread on the minutes of the Court.

His Lawyer’s request to end the litigation comes barely twenty-four hours after when the lawyer of former Vice President, Cllr. Bangalue Cole, termed the complainant’s action against the former VP as naked and empty.

Recently, the Civil Law Court summoned the former VP, requesting the removal of the cloud over the title deed of twenty-one acres of land belonging to Arnold Kandakai.
