MARYLAND COUNTY, LIBERIA-Police in Maryland County are investigating a thirty-two-year-old man for allegedly registering twice in the ongoing voter registration exercise in the County.

According to ELBC Correspondent, Suspect Nah was caught at the Cavalla Rubber Corporation High School Voter Registration Center, in Pleebo.

The Suspect, during an investigation, admitted to the act but said the previous card given to him by the National Elections Commission (NEC) workers were not in good condition, something he said prompted his action.

The Suspect explained that he pleaded with the previous NEC workers to have his card replaced, but they reportedly refused to do so.

Our Correspondent quotes police preliminary investigation as saying the act is an electoral crime and is punishable under the Law of Liberia.
