“Stop Politicizing Ongoing Biometric Voter Registration Exercise”-Madam Brown-Lansanah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chairperson of the National Elections Commission (NEC) has warned Liberians to stop politicizing the ongoing Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) process.

Madam Davidetta Brown-Lansanah said:” The NEC is a professional institution and its works must be depoliticized”.

Madam Brown-Lansanah told ELBC Super Morning Show on Thursday, May 4, 2023, that the Commission has been proactive in addressing technical problems surrounding the BVR process.

She said:” The Commission has taken some actions, including the dismissal of workers, following reports of malpractice from the field”.

Meanwhile, the NEC Chairperson has assured that the BVR process is going on smoothly and encouraged Liberians to register for the pending October 10 elections.
