MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Senate has consoled the people of Gbarpolu County and the bereaved family over the death of Senator Daniel Naatehn.

A Senate release quotes family sources as saying the Senator died on Tuesday morning, August 8, 2023, in India, where he had gone to honor his routine medical check-ups.

Senate Pro-Tempt Albert Chie described the death of the Senator as a great loss not only to Gbarpolu County but the country at large.

The fallen Senator served the Legislature for seventeen years under the Interim Administration of former and late Head of State, Judy Bryant, former President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, and now President George Weah.

Senator Daniel Naatehn once served as Chairman of the Senate Executive Committee and Chairman of the Senate Transport Committee, respectively.
