MONROVIA, LIBERIA-ECOWAS Committee Chair on Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Edwin Snowe, has condemned the action by some supporters of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), for parading with the casket at the official start of the campaign.

Senator Snowe said:” Such act is divisive and tarnishes the reputation of the CDC, as well as threatens the foundation of Liberia’s democratic principles.”

The Senator’s condemnation message was contained in a special statement, recently.

The Bomi County Senator, however, called on every Liberian, including political actors, to abide by the democratic pillars of respect and uphold the integrity of the Farmington River Declaration.

The ECOWAS Committee Chair on Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Edwin Snowe, maintained that it is incumbent on every citizen to foster a political environment that encourages open dialogue, understanding, and unity among all citizens.
