by Maximilian K. Kasseh jr

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has announced progress in the ongoing assets declaration process.

The Commission said it is currently compiling a list of compliant and non-compliant Liberian Government Officials, after receiving nearly a hundred declarations.

Disclosing at a press conference on Thursday, December 14, 2023, LACC Acting Executive Chairperson, Ernest Hughes, said:” The listing comprising ministers, autonomous agencies and commissions, will be released next week.”

According to Cllr. Hughes, while the LACC is aware of several officials on international government functions, it is incumbent upon all Officials of Government to declare their assets.

Cllr. Ernest Hughes clarified that despite the expiration of the December 12 assets declaration timeline, the LACC will continue to work with all Officials of Government who have not declared their assets to comply.
