MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The United States Embassy in Monrovia has lauded the House of Representatives for passing a resolution to establish a War and Economic Crimes Court in Liberia.

In a statement on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, the US Embassy described the move as positive news.

The passing of the resolution coincided with Tuesday’s successful visit to Monrovia by U.S. Ambassador-At-Large for Global Criminal Justice, Beth Van Schaack.

In her engagements with the Government and Civil Society, Ambassador Van Schaack underscored U.S. Government support for accountability and justice for all Liberians.

The House of Representatives has since sent the resolution to the Senate for concurrence.
