MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-President George Weah has proposed the construction of a graduation stand at the Liberia Maritime Training Institute in Marshall, Lower Margibi County.

President Weah’s proposal was due to heavy storm and rain that forced the 2nd Graduation of the Institute to be called-off on Thursday, May 5, 2022.

Speaking briefly, after the program was called off, the Liberian Leader congratulated the cadet for their achievement, and hailed their bravery, especially under the storms and rains.

He said the cadets deserve a convenient learning environment, especially a graduation center.

President Weah said Thursday’s weather should not be a surprise because the Institute is along the coast, and as such, the graduation center must be constructed soon.

Prior to LMTI’S Second Graduation ceremony, weather forecast on ELBC talked about seventy percent chance of rain and thunderstorm, giving clue that it was going to be a rainy and stormy weather.
