MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has predicted the defeat of any Presidential Candidate who contests against him in the 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections.

According to President Weah, his second term bid is being hugely supported by the citizens, adding that his victory is ordained by God.

He, however, extended best wishes to all other political opponents, and prayed for the ensuing elections to be peaceful and successful.

The Liberian Leader spoke during the observance of his 56th birth anniversary at his Jamaica Resort in Paynesville City at the weekend.

President Weah also re-echoed the need for all Liberians to maintain the peace of the Country.

He stressed that it would be difficult for the Country to progress rapidly in the absence of peace, with a call for political actors to be peaceful in their engagements.

The Liberian Leader emphasized that his peaceful deportment, while in opposition years ago, was among reasons why the people voted him to the Presidency in 2017.

At the same time, the Youth Wing of the CDC has eulogized the fallen mother of President Weah, the late Hannah Weah.

In observance of President Weah’s 56th Birth Anniversary on Saturday, October 1, 2022, members of the Youth Wing memorialized and appreciated Madam Weah for giving birth to President, whom they believe is making strides to transform the lives of Liberians.

According to ELBC Reporter, the young people converged at the JCN Howard Cemetery in Paynesville City to honor the late Hannah Weah, before climaxing with prayer and thanksgiving service at the Dominion Praise Chapel in Sinkor.

Speaking at the ceremony, CDC Vice Chairman for Administration, Gablah Williams, appreciated Madam Weah for bringing forth a son such as President Weah.

For his part, CDC Chairman, Mulbah Morlu, recounted President Weah’s achievements, and urged the church to pray for the holding of free and transparent elections that will bring the Liberian Leader back to power.
