MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The President of the University of Liberia, Dr. Julius Nelsons wants government begin full implementation of the recent Memorandum of Understanding signed with the UL faculty Association (ULFA).
Dr. Nelson wants government work within the confines of the time frame set for the implementation of the document to ensure speedy return of faculty members to classes.
The MOU was signed recently to bring to an end, a go-slow staged by the UL faculty Association over what they called salary disparities and other labor concerns.
Dr. Nelson is hopeful of the timely resolution of the faculty’s grievances by the government.
Speaking to ELBC Tuesday, September 5, 2021, the UL president thanked the ULFA leadership for exercising restraints in resorting to dialogue to resolve the situation.
According to the MOU, normal lectures are set to begin at the UL this Friday, October 8.
